The housing Room, St. Teunisstraat A type scored, on average, 3 stars based on 1 reviews by our Maastrichthousing students.
The location is great, right next to the city centre and at the most a 15 minutes bike ride to any of the university campuses. It's a good size, even if the layout is a bit odd (one of the balconies is accessed through the bathroom with the shower and washing machine, which is accessed through the kitchen). However, the living room looks nothing like it does in the pictures. We literally have garden furniture in the living room, which is pretty uncomfortable. The flat is also a lot less new than it looks in the pictures, so these should probably be updated. We had a number of issues when we moved in, including the internet not working, clogged sinks, broken pans... but to be fair the housing office is great at sorting things out quickly (although I did have to waste a lot of time on the phone with them, which isn't ideal - these things should be checked before people move in). The lower score is because I think it's a little bit overpriced for a single room in Maastricht, because we thought someone would come to clean the communal areas (normal in student residences where people who don't know each other have to live together), and because of the terrible furniture. One issue that still hasn't been fixed is the communal entrance and stairway, which is pretty dirty and sometimes smelly. When I asked about this I was told I would have to clean it myself (something I am obviously not responsible for).
