Philadelphia Care Foundation hires a former monastery on a very special location in the city center (next to the Faculty Fasos) the residential complex "The Merici" called.

With a total of 6 rooms a common spacious living-dining room a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms, a gym, and a large terrace.  The property is fully furnished and wheelchair friendly. (Elevator and 2 spacious bathrooms).
Entrance itself is on the Capucijnenstraat and can be reached only through a gate.

The adjacent complex is occupied by 35 residents with intellectual disabilities and is separated from this complex. These residents offer a laundry and ironing service and will carry out the interior care. (additional costs 35 Euro p.m)

The foundation prefers only older-final year AND Dutch Speaking!  students, Masters and PhDs who want to stay at least 6 months or one year, extension is always possible! The foundation can imagine students who have an affinity with people with disabilities will appeal and perhaps some cooperation can arise.

Before anyone is renting a room there will be an interview with the location manager Mr. Wiel Soudant.

The intention is thatall residentsnot disturbthe peaceful atmosphereand harmony!

Located at the front entrance (Grote Gracht) there is a courtyard restaurant- (the Black Madonna) museum and a religious gift shop.
